Who We Are

After 17 years of owning a Farmers Agency, Tom Dowd decided it was time for a change and started Dowd Insurance Agency in 2006. Since then the agency has proudly served communities across Texas and has since expanded to offer coverage in Colorado and Washington.

As an independent insurance agency, our focus is on you and your family. Unlike larger agencies tied to a single insurance provider, we have access to a variety of top-rated carriers. This means we can find coverage tailored to your unique needs and budget—because one size definitely doesn’t fit all when it comes to insurance.

Giving Back

Investing back into the area is one of our top priorities! We strive to give back through supporting charities such as Central Texas Food Bank, Austin Disaster Relief Network and Samaritan’s Purse. We believe if we put our time and money where it matters the most, we all benefit! We’ve even tied our referral rewards program to charitable giving.
