With prices soaring, you may be tempted to simply lower your thermostat. But there are several ways for you to reduce your heating costs while staying warm.

Consider the following tips for reducing heating costs:

  • Ensure vents and radiators aren’t blocked.
  •  Replace your furnace filter if it’s dirty.
  • Seal any areas where heat could leak out of your home.
  • Have an HVAC professional inspect and replace any leaky ducts.
  • Open curtains and blinds during the day and close them at night to keep warmth inside.
  • Shut the doors and close the vents in rooms you’re not using.
